Cedar Lake Yacht Club hosted this year's 35th Class X Blue Chip Regatta.  Traditionally known as a season ending celebration for graduating X sailors and top performers, Lake Beulah sailors received seven of the thirty invitations this season.  Five Beulah sailors attended the Blue Chip.  Click here for results.

The regatta was won by Eddie Cox with crew Cole Lee of White Bear Lake, who won a tie breaker with Pewaukee's Nicholas & Maggie Clemence. Cox won two races to break the tie.  Previously this summer, Cox won the GLSS X Invitational Regatta. In third place was Connor Trepton of L abelle, followed by Beulah's Michael Barr with Gregory Westin. Fifth was Kate Klement with Teresa Westin. (Photo at right from Scowlines) Also participating were the crews of B-6 - 7th place (Cullen & John Barr), B-16 - 11th place (Charlie Kutschenreuter & Alex Keck) and B-303 - 16th place (Sammy Davenport and Caroline Skotarzak).  The regatta was challenged by rain and light winds on Friday followed by severe thunderstorms, high winds, and rain on Saturday of the two day event. Four races were completed.
