In late June, we hosted the 18th annual Beulah Optimist Dinghy Regatta, an event attended by 52 sailors.  Shortly thereafter, the many of the Opti skippers shifted gears, jumped into X boats, and competed in the Training Regatta at Pine or TRAP.  In early July, the Lake Beulah Yacht Club hosted Class X Quad Lakes Regatta.  This regatta was initiated in 1972 with the addition of Lake Beulah sailors to those from Cedar, Nagawicka, and Pine.  While these three lakes have experienced success in this event, so has LBYC.  Beulah sailors have won this Class X regatta fifteen times since 1970 and surprisingly, in each of the past six consecutive summers.  Local lake experience paid off again in 2010 as Charlie Kutschenreuter and Alex Keck won the regatta, making them the seventh consecutive champion crews from Lake Beulah:

Annie Haeger/Lindsey Kent
Joe Kutschenreuter/Charlie Kutschenreuter
Joe Kutschenreuter/Charlie Kutschenreuter
George Kutschenreuter/Charlie Kutschenreuter
George Kutschenreuter/John Barr
Kate Klement/Teresa Westin
Charlie Kutschenreuter/Alex Keck
